Scrambling

A fantastic next step up from hillwalking and an alternative and often more direct  way to gain the summit of many UK mountains.  Add in more challenge and the thought process of route finding and rope work then your mountain adventures have just found a new meaning.

Many people that visit the mountains  will often look  with envy at those who tackle those inspiring rocky ridges and knife edges. If your one of these people, then is now the time to aspire to make your days in the mountains even more memorable.

Introduction to Scrambling and the Welsh Classics

Do you currently mountain walk and long to move onto the classic ridge scrambles that the UK offers. Scrambling allows you to access wonderful and fulfilling opportunities to gain UK summits by interesting and at times challenging terrain.

This course will give you the skills you require to explore and summit UK peaks via scrambles up to grade one. One key aspect which you will get coached on is judgment and your ability to decide what is a safe passage and one which is too risky

Previous experience

You must have some experience  of hillwalking within the UK and summiting some mountains within an area such as Lake District, North Wales or Scotland. A fitness level which will allow you to spend a day in the mountains moving over rocky terrain and reaching a mountain summit.

Equipment  – All technical equipment is included within the cost

Grade 1  to Expert Scrambler ( 2-day course )

So, you’re comfortable on scrambles up to grade one  and long to tackle  the next steps onto the more challenging and exiting scrambles that exist within the UK such as grade 2 and grade 3.

This is the course for you. It will allow you to develop the confidence, skills and knowledge so that your days in the mountains will never be the same again. 

You will now be able to tackle those steeper ridges and buttresses that up to know you have only stared at. Think of all the new photo opportunities and memories that are awaiting you.

Previous experience

This course requires two people in order to gain the maximum learning and technical opportunities.
