Vertical Mine Leader

( Vertical mine leader used to be called Level 2)

This course gets to grip with everything vertical, is a hands on and a very practical course. No need to have lots of technical equipment as all this can be supplied. The pace is geared to your learning and plenty of time to ask questions and get to grips with techniques. Both days are underground based as training in the real context I feel is key to enhanced learning.

£200 per person with a minimum of 2 people and maximum of 4

( Includes a on line session prior ) This is so we can tick off all the intro info and have more time hands one underground.

Group bookings of 4 attract a 20% discount

Duration : 2 days + one evening on line

Dates : 2024

2nd and 3rd of December ( this course is part of NW mine leader trainer and assessor panel week of courses ) This course is going to run.

Or If you have a group of 2 or more, then get in touch if those dates do not suit and I can run a bespoke course and with a 10 % discount.

3 day vertical leader training 

By undertaking an extra day on training, this allows you to really enhance your skills and understanding of the syllabus. It also allows to get far more hands-on practical experience of skills, more opportunity to practice SRT and we will visit and rig the group trade routes in Wrysgan mine.

£250 per person with a minimum of 2 people and maximum of 4

Group bookings of 4 attract a 20% discount

Duration 3 days

Dates : TBC or If you have a group of 2 or more get in touch

Rigging a traverse for group use

Assessments can be a stressful experience and no one wishes for that when they are being assessed. I strive to create a relaxed environment and remember no one is 100% perfect even assessors. So you can be sure to find the process supporting and no to stressful.

£180.00 1 person and £250 for two people

Duration 1 day

Dates : This assessment day is planned to suit the candidate/s. Please get in touch to discuss and arrange a date.

Group day assessment

Climb and abseil in Rhiwbach

Assessments can be a stressful experience and no one wishes for that when they are being assessed. I strive to create a relaxed environment and remember no one is 100% perfect even assessors. So you can be sure to find the process supporting and no to stressful.

This day looks at your skills as mine leader looking after a real group within a mine which includes vertical pitches, such as ladders, abseil, lowers and traverse clip lines. 

Cost : £200 per person ( These course can only be run with 1 candidate )
